Australian wool production impacted by tough season

The Australian Wool Production Forecasting Committee’s updated forecast of shorn wool production in 2018/19 is 305 mkg greasy, down by 10.8% from 2017/18. 

Continuing dry conditions in New South Wales, Queensland, northern Victoria, east Gippsland and the northern parts of South Australia have been tempered somewhat by the better seasonal conditions in the south east South Australia, the midlands of Tasmania, western Victoria and parts of Western Australia.

+2.5%, -5.6% and -5.9% respectively.

The Annual General Meeting of Member Guarantors for AWTA Ltd was held on Friday, 19 October 2018. 

The financial statements for the year 2017-2018 were presented to the Member Guarantors for review and were accepted. They are now available for distribution.

Candice Cordy wins the 2018 Wool Broker of the Year

Landmark’s Candice Cordy has taken out the 2018 Wool Broker of the Year title.

The Bendigo wool account manager’s prestigious win was announced at the Australian Wool Industries Secretariat’s Wool Week gala in Melbourne.
