-6.9%, -10.6% and -10.4% respectively.

Drought continues to impact Australian wool production

The Australian Wool Production Forecasting Committee forecasts that Australian shorn wool production for 2018/19 will be 298 mkg greasy. This is a 12.7% decline from the levels in 2017/18 and reflects the continuing drought conditions across large parts of Australia.

Call for nominations - 2019 NCWSBA Wool Broker Award

The National Council of Wool Selling Brokers of Australia is calling for nominations for the 2019 NCWSBA Wool Broker Award. The Award is in its eighth successful year and recognises excellence in service to woolgrowers, auctioneering and/or innovation by an outstanding wool broker employee who is working for a NCWSBA member and has been in the wool broking industry for 10 years or less.

Combining Italy's rich wool heritage with the latest research and developments in wool applications, the 88th Congress of the International Wool Textile Organisation (IWTO) concluded last week in Venice, Italy.

Change to rounding of results - Scoured & Carbonised Wool

The reporting of residual Ash % and Grease (AEM) % results will change to one decimal place on all Scoured and Carbonised Core Tests and Guidance Reports from Friday, 5th April 2019.
