Wool Statistical Area Production Data to Replace Key Test Data Report

From 2 July 2025 AWTA will make wool production data based on State of production rather than State of storage and sampling.
Previously, the volume of wool tested, or "Key Test Data" was reported based on the State or location where the wool was stored and sampled for testing. With a significant volume of wool now being transported to Victoria for warehousing and sampling, this report no longer reflected trends in wool production in States and was less useful for the wool industry at large. The new report based on Wool Statistical Area of production will reflect movements or trends in production in Australian States.
