AWTA Service Time Alert - Workload Pressure

Like all businesses and organisations across Australia, AWTA has recently suffered a spike in staff absenteeism due to COVID. This unpreventable event has coincided with a substantial and significant increase in work load, particularly EXPRESS work, as clients endeavour to place wool in the final sale before a three week recess.   

Clients should be aware that, due to these circumstances, it will take longer for test results to issue this week than they may otherwise be accustomed to (while still within the published service time). We continue to do what we can to minimise any disruption, including significant overtime work.

Ironically, the significant rain event and flooding in NSW has had no impact on the freight of samples to the Melbourne laboratory.
