One of AWTA Ltd’s main business objectives is to continuously improve the performance of its Laboratories. A key part of this initiative is to phase out obsolete computer technologies so that we can provide efficient and flexible services into the future. This is an ongoing process and the next phase of these enhancements will see us upgrading the internal laboratory data capture and certification systems in our Melbourne Raw Wool Laboratory effective Monday 4th June 2018.
The software we are implementing has been in use within our Bibra Lake Laboratory since July 2017 and operates in NZWTA Ltd’s Napier Laboratory, so we expect there will be minimal impact to our customers. Please note that there are no changes to ANY of the data communications or certificate distribution services used externally by our customers or service providers, nor to ANY of our Laboratory testing equipment.
We have been testing the system and training staff in its use for several months to prepare for the cutover. However, we expect there will be a short period needed for our staff to adjust to using the “live” system with our customers and ask for your understanding during this transition period.
