Cette longueur est connue sous le nom de Hauteur (longueur des fibres dans la toupie). En outre, la force moyenne des agrafes est importante pour \u00e9valuer la performance de la laine au cours du traitement. Le processus d'\u00e9chantillonnage initial se d\u00e9roule dans les magasins des courtiers et n\u00e9cessite :&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Pr\u00e9l\u00e8vement d'\u00e9chantillons sur les balles de laine dans le lot<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u00c9chantillonnage de la touffe \u00e0 partir de l'\u00e9chantillon instantan\u00e9 (pr\u00e9sentoir) \u00e0 l'aide d'une machine d'\u00e9chantillonnage m\u00e9canique de la touffe (Mechanical Tuft Sampling - MTS)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Les \u00e9chantillons touffus sont ensuite transport\u00e9s au laboratoire pour y \u00eatre analys\u00e9s :&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Pr\u00e9paration de l'agrafe des touffes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Conditionnement des agrafes avant la mesure<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Une fois cette pr\u00e9paration termin\u00e9e, les agrafes de laine grasse sont mesur\u00e9es \u00e0 l'aide d'un instrument appel\u00e9 ATLAS (Automatic Tester of Length and Strength). Cet instrument mesure :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Longueur moyenne des agrafes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Coefficient de variation de la longueur des agrafes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>R\u00e9sistance moyenne des agrafes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>% R\u00e9partition de la position de la rupture (pointe, milieu, base)<br><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-9d6595d7 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-vertically-aligned-center is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>Les essais d'\u00e9valuation de mesures suppl\u00e9mentaires (TEAM) ont \u00e9tabli que les donn\u00e9es relatives \u00e0 la longueur et \u00e0 la r\u00e9sistance de l'agrafe, combin\u00e9es \u00e0 d'autres mesures objectives, font partie int\u00e9grante de la pr\u00e9vision des performances de transformation. La formule TEAM-3 a \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9velopp\u00e9e \u00e0 partir de plus de 20 ans d'essais industriels et cette recherche montre que les performances de transformation sont \u00e9troitement li\u00e9es \u00e0 cette formule pr\u00e9dictive. Par cons\u00e9quent, les laines dont la longueur et la r\u00e9sistance des fibres n'ont pas \u00e9t\u00e9 test\u00e9es peuvent \u00eatre d\u00e9pr\u00e9ci\u00e9es sur le march\u00e9, car les acheteurs de laine sont plus incertains de la mani\u00e8re dont elles seront transform\u00e9es.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pour aider les producteurs et les courtiers en laine \u00e0 comprendre l'importance commerciale de la mesure des agrafes, l'AWTA a command\u00e9 des rapports pour \u00e9tablir les primes et les remises appliqu\u00e9es \u00e0 la laine mesur\u00e9e et non mesur\u00e9e sur le march\u00e9.
