Cela repr\u00e9sente une augmentation de 2,11 T3 par rapport \u00e0 l&#039;estimation de 284 millions de kg pour 2019\/20, les principales r\u00e9gions productrices de laine b\u00e9n\u00e9ficiant de conditions saisonni\u00e8res favorables.<\/li>\n<li>La premi\u00e8re pr\u00e9vision du Comit\u00e9 pour 2021\/22 table sur une production de laine tondue de 305 millions de kg (poids brut), soit une augmentation de 5,11 tonnes par rapport \u00e0 la saison actuelle. Les conditions climatiques favorables actuelles devraient se maintenir durant la nouvelle saison, ce qui devrait stimuler la production moyenne par t\u00eate. Cependant, la faiblesse des effectifs ovins continuera de limiter la production de laine tondue \u00e0 court terme.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Le Comit\u00e9 australien de pr\u00e9vision de la production laini\u00e8re (AWPFC) a mis \u00e0 jour ses pr\u00e9visions de production de laine tondue pour la saison 2020\/21. Ces quatri\u00e8mes pr\u00e9visions tablent sur une production de 290 millions de kilogrammes (Mkg) de laine brute, soit une augmentation de 2,11 Mkg par rapport \u00e0 l&#039;estimation de 284 Mkg de laine brute en 2019\/20 (tableau 1).<\/p>\n<p>La plupart des r\u00e9gions laini\u00e8res connaissent une saison favorable et les moutons sont en bonne sant\u00e9. L&#039;Australie-Occidentale, la r\u00e9gion pastorale d&#039;Australie-M\u00e9ridionale et le Queensland ont b\u00e9n\u00e9fici\u00e9 de pluies r\u00e9centes, certes irr\u00e9guli\u00e8res, mais g\u00e9n\u00e9ralis\u00e9es, qui ont permis de reconstituer les r\u00e9serves d&#039;eau des exploitations agricoles.<\/p>\n<p>Le pr\u00e9sident du comit\u00e9, Russell Pattinson, a fait remarquer que \u201c gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 des conditions saisonni\u00e8res favorables, les producteurs de laine ont l\u2019intention de reconstituer leurs troupeaux de brebis dans de nombreuses r\u00e9gions cl\u00e9s de production laini\u00e8re en conservant davantage de brebis de remplacement et de brebis plus \u00e2g\u00e9es que d\u2019habitude \u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Le nombre de moutons tondus en Australie en 2020\/21 devrait diminuer de 4,51 milliards de tonnes pour s&#039;\u00e9tablir \u00e0 65,5 millions. Ce nombre devrait baisser en Australie-Occidentale (-14,31 milliards de tonnes), au Queensland (-14,21 milliards de tonnes), en Nouvelle-Galles du Sud (-5,41 milliards de tonnes) et en Australie-M\u00e9ridionale (-1,71 milliard de tonnes), mais augmenter au Victoria et en Tasmanie (respectivement +3,11 milliards et +2,81 milliards de tonnes). Un nombre important de brebis reproductrices continuent d&#039;\u00eatre transf\u00e9r\u00e9es d&#039;Australie-Occidentale vers d&#039;autres \u00c9tats.<\/p>\n<p>La production de laine moyenne par t\u00eate devrait augmenter de 7,21 tonnes (TP3T) \u00e0 l&#039;\u00e9chelle nationale pour atteindre 4,43 kg de laine brute pour la saison 2020\/21. Cette hausse est due aux conditions climatiques favorables observ\u00e9es dans de nombreuses r\u00e9gions laini\u00e8res. Les moutons sont en bonne condition physique et devraient le rester jusqu&#039;\u00e0 l&#039;hiver. Les principaux r\u00e9sultats des tests de l&#039;AWTA montrent une augmentation significative de la longueur des fibres, qui atteint 89,0 mm, soit une hausse de 2,9 mm par rapport \u00e0 la p\u00e9riode de juillet \u00e0 mars 2020. Toutefois, cette augmentation peut \u00eatre en partie attribu\u00e9e \u00e0 une tonte tardive. On observe \u00e9galement une augmentation du diam\u00e8tre moyen des fibres, qui atteint 20,8 \u00b5m (soit une hausse de 0,2 \u00b5m), et de la r\u00e9sistance des fibres, qui progresse de 1,5 N\/ktex pour s&#039;\u00e9tablir \u00e0 33,8 N\/ktex.<\/p>\n<p>La production de laine tondue devrait diminuer dans le Queensland (en baisse de 12,81 tonnes) et en Australie-Occidentale (en baisse de 11,31 tonnes), ces deux \u00c9tats continuant de conna\u00eetre des conditions de s\u00e9cheresse relative. Cependant, les pluies bienvenues r\u00e9centes, dues aux cyclones tropicaux, ont am\u00e9lior\u00e9 la disponibilit\u00e9 en eau dans les exploitations agricoles et augmenteront la quantit\u00e9 de fourrage disponible dans les p\u00e2turages de ces deux \u00c9tats. La production de laine tondue devrait augmenter dans tous les autres \u00c9tats\u00a0: en Tasmanie (+20,01 tonnes), au Victoria (+8,21 tonnes), en Australie-M\u00e9ridionale (+6,01 tonnes) et en Nouvelle-Galles du Sud (+4,31 tonnes).<\/p>\n<p>Les volumes de laine test\u00e9s par l&#039;AWTA \u00e0 fin mars 2021 ont diminu\u00e9 de 0,91 TP3T par rapport \u00e0 l&#039;ann\u00e9e pr\u00e9c\u00e9dente. Cependant, on observe une forte hausse de ces volumes entre f\u00e9vrier et avril. La laine propos\u00e9e directement aux ench\u00e8res \u00e0 la fin de la 44e semaine a augment\u00e9 de 12,11 TP3T. Cette augmentation s&#039;explique en partie par la hausse des prix de la laine constat\u00e9e ces derniers mois, les producteurs liquidant leurs stocks.<\/p>\n<p>Les premi\u00e8res pr\u00e9visions de l&#039;AWPFC concernant la production de laine tondue pour la saison 2021\/22 s&#039;\u00e9tablissent \u00e0 305 millions de kg de laine brute, soit une augmentation de 5,11 tonnes par rapport aux pr\u00e9visions de 2020\/21. Cette hausse s&#039;explique par une l\u00e9g\u00e8re augmentation du nombre de moutons tondus (3,71 tonnes) et du rendement moyen par t\u00eate (1,41 tonne).
